The residents of the municipality of Balgach also have a voice in the "Anker West" special utilisation plan. When the consultation process ends on 4 October 2024, the suggestions and requirements will be incorporated into the final design plan for the "Anker West" high-rise building, one of the centrepieces of the new Wild Heerbrugg Areal.
The Anker West special utilisation plan has set the course for a modern, sustainable construction project on the Wild Heerbrugg Areal. The centrepiece of the project is the planned Ankerbuilding – a 50-metre-high high-rise building that is intended to create a combination of technological innovation, architectural quality and ecological responsibility as a new landmark for the site.
During the public participation process from 6 September to 4 October 2024, the residents of the municipality of Balgach had the opportunity to contribute their ideas, perspectives and concerns regarding the construction project. This participatory process was a crucial step in ensuring that the project not only fulfils the urban planning and architectural requirements, but also takes into account the diversity of opinions and needs of the community
The feedback collected is now being incorporated into the finalised development of the final construction project. Thanks to the joint commitment and transparent planning process, the construction project will be supported by the general public and the high-quality further development of the region as an identity-creating technology centre will be promoted in the long term.
